I’m not really digging how we have to upload lesson display pics at a certain pixel resolution for optimum quality. And the 415 X 320, whatever the pixel resolution is supposed to be, is a really odd combination for the required size, especially as our uploaded videos are all 320 X 240 or 640 X 480. Can we make the required pixel size equivalent to the required video resolution, or can we nix the whole requirement all together? I’m uploading pics at good resolution with a higher pixel ratio than the required size, and still they come out all pixelated when viewed on the site. |

You shouldn’t actually have to upload at those dimensions to get a decent image, that’s just the only size at which the server should present the same image you put up. Otherwise it has to sample up or down to get to that size, so if you give it a 320×240 image, it is going to end up kind of ugly. With an image that is larger than it needs it will do its best, but unless it is quite a bit larger it may still end up a little chunky looking. It has to be that size because it is the actual display size of the player. One thing that might be worth trying is doubling the size of your local player before you take a screenshot, so the image you upload is significantly larger than it will end up being. That might get you better results. Let me know if that works? |
