License-free images for your lesson

Have you been looking to spice up your video with some still images? It may be tempting just to use google’s image search, but you run the risk of copyright infringement and possible legal action if you’re not careful. You should always make sure the images you use are either licensed to you (like a friend’s photos or images you pay to use for commercial use), or better yet, public domain. I’ll be honest, you’ll definitely have to do some digging to find what you want, but there are some good resources available to you. Wikipedia has a good list of resources: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Wikipedia:Public_domain_image_resources Just remember, some sites have a mix of copyrighted and public domain images and it’s your responsibility to ensure that you use the images appropriately. If you’re not careful you could end up with a nasty little cease and desist letter from a nasty little legal fellow. |

This is fantastic. I’m always looking for images, but don’t want to use other people’s work unfairly. This will save me a lot of time and worrying. Thanks! |
