Derek Duke Noble goes for the spike with indoor sand volleyball. Beach VB players play indoors through the winter in places where it's too cold to play outside. Like the standard sand game, it is usually played with teams of 2, 4 or 6. The reason for indoor sand (versus just playing court VB) is that the transition between the two is not easy. Timing and technique and movement in general are very different on sand versus on the court. Thus, if you switch to court in the winter, you'll have a huge adjustment to content with when you decide to go back to sand in the spring.
Volleyball provides a good cardio workout as well as a good all-over workout for your legs (squatting, jumping), arms and shoulders (hitting, setting, blocking), and core (twisting, moving, lateral moves). There is also a tremendous social aspect to volleyball.
Derek Duke Noble (www.bodynoble.com), the host and creator of Urban Fitness TV (www.urbanfitnesstv.com), is a world-renowned celebrity lifestyle and fitness guru.

This technique is part of the Body Noble Method, which is a safe,...

It's refreshing to see something that goes relatively unnoticed (in the larger scale of things) so comprehensively covered. Beach volleyball is not just a summertime, outdoor sport. If you enjoy it enough, you can find places to play during the colder months (if you are located in the Northeast, like us).
