Urban Fitness TV explores the pain-pleasure principal through the experiences of adventure racers. Adventure Racing is an extreme sport. In the sport, you'll experience a spectrum of different types of pain (blisters, hunger, sleep deprivation, over-exertion, etc); this is the core of the race. Contending with and overcoming these pains both physically and mentally are what really determines the winners of these races.

Racers find that their bodies do get into a rhythm despite the pain; over time, they come to enjoy the intensity of the race and the challenge. In this lesson, you will hear about how people react in Adventure Races, how the body reacts (endorphines, adrenaline, passing out, nausea, etc), and why people like racing.
