Host Derek Noble takes a swing at the perfect tee off with CPGA Golf Pro, Matthew Peavoy. Despite its reputation, golf is an athletic sport that can involve walking 4-5 miles during a round and requires a lot of trunk stability. Derek and Matthew give you an introduction to the different parts of a golf swing, including the grip (which Matthew describes as the most important aspect of your swing), a good, athletic stance, backswing, downswing, and follow-through, or finish. Each one of these aspects of the swing is important and will determine how effective a golfer you are. The golf swing can be looked at as coiling a spring in your body, and Matthew will show you the proper and most effective way to coil and uncoil that spring. The duo also gives you an overview of 5 full-body stretches to losen you up before and after your round.
