We get ringside seats when Urban Fitness TV looks at Muay Thai boxing. This video gives you an overview of the sport of Thai boxing, briefly touching on multiple topics from the history of the sport to what a training session and match look like. The Muay Thai fighting style is approximately 3000 years old and traces its origins back to India. Before the invention of boxing gloves, boxers would bind their hands in rope. Muay Thai utilizes all parts of the body, including fists, feet, knees, and elbows. It is estimated that round kicks make up 60-70% of a fight. Matches are 5 rounds of 3 minutes each and, like regular boxing, can be won by a knock out, surrender, decision, or points. Muay Thai also involves a spiritual element, and each match begins with a spiritual dance from each of the two contenders.

This technique is part of the Body Noble Method, which is a safe,...
