Ski Patrols are around to help people who are out snowboarding, skiing, or just out on the slopes, and in trouble. They administer first aid to anyone injured. The most common injuries are knee injuries in skiers, and shoulder and wrist injuries in snowboarders. A qualified ski patroller must work under supervision for three seasons and have first aid and CPR training. They also learn about avalanche control, as they have to control a certain section of the mountain to release loose snow. The ski patrollers in this video give you some very useful safety tips and techniques for next time you go to the slopes.
