In this lesson, Wayne Gendel, a life extension specialist, talks to us about the raw food movement. He begins by explaining the rationale many people have behind their decision to 'eat raw' in addition to the benefits that these people have realized. In nature, you never see an overweight giraffe, but people can easily become double their natural size. The biggest difference between ourselves and animals (or even healthier cultures) are our diets - we are altering the food we make in ways that nature may not have intended.
Scientifically and physiologically, most raw foods are in and out of your system in 7-8 hours. Switching portions of our food intake to raw and organic foods has been shown to help alleviate weight problems, bowel problems, body odor problems and an assortment of other health issues.
