Andrea Olivera, an Ayurvedic specialist explains Ayurvedic Medicine. Ayrurvedic is an ancient science that is based on the ancient techniques of Yogis using vata, pita, and kafa which relate to air, fire, and water. People are categorized in these three different body types and these body types need different herbs, exercise, nutrients to live a healthy lifestyle. The core belief is balance and staying within balance. In Sanskrit, the word Ayurveda comprises the words ?yus, meaning 'life' and veda, meaning 'science'. Evolving throughout its history, Ayurveda remains an influential system of medicine in South Asia. Ayurvedic practitioners have identified a number of medicinal preparations and surgical procedures for curing various ailments and diseases.
