If all you know about knitting is that you need yarn and needles, and that you would love to learn this fun and practical skill in the easiest way possible, then congratulations! You have come to the right place, friend.
Marilen has been knitting since she was 9 years old, and teaching the craft for the past several, to both right and left-handed folks like you.
In this lesson, she discusses the act of picking a set of yarn and needles suited for beginners, casting on (or making the foundation row of stitches on your needle), and then how to KNIT, and to continue on till you have row after row of stitches.

This lesson is great for people who don't know anything about knitting. It takes you through each step to get started. It is a good beginning lesson. You need to buy part two in order to learn how to 'binding off' your scarf...I'll let you know how that goes. But for now, I'm off to finish my scarf :)
