 Great information on starting a garden

This video includes lots of things I didn't know as an amateur gardener, including options for soil testing, how to use some gardening tools effectively.

It seems like one of the things that people starting out with plants have trouble with the most is how often to water things and what plants look like when they are overwatered. It would be great to have a lesson that showed common household and garden plants, with examples of signs to look out for when they are thirsty and/or suffering from overwatering. I have a ficus that is extremely picky about water and sun conditions and doesn't give the kind of signs that many plants do.
