I took my passion and enthusiasm for wine and food and made it into my dream job. I have first hand experience with every vintage since 1978, and can still describe memorable wines I drank twenty years ago. I'm not a wine snob or a wine geek though. I sometimes describe myself as a wine professional, but really prefer it when someone calls me their "wine guy". Thats who I am, and I love to share that passion with anyone interested.

This is great 101 on wine - covers all key aspects in a straightforward yet engaging manner.

I had no idea that the glass really mattered that much in tasting wine! I've been in denial thinking that my college education has taught me everything I need to know about drinking. How wrong was I?! And I was drinking wine weeks after it was opened! So wrong. Sooooo wrong.
