Using your fingers imagine where your cat will sit on the page. Lightly draw a kidney bean shape and a circle for the head, attaching it with two lines at the side to join it to the body. A curve line for the tail and a bowl shape for the mouth. Add in triangular shapes for the ears. Watch carefully to learn how to shape the legs and paws. Use an eraser to take out the lines you no longer need. Outline the whole cat in a slightly heavier line. Put in the almond shaped eye,a nose and mouth. To make a pattern on the cat draw in some squashed oval shapes curving it around the back, legs and tail. Experiment with different patterns, as cats come in many different breeds and colours, so do colour in your cat.
