"The Fantastic Kent Cummins" has been a magician for more than fifty-five years, having made the commitment before starting school in his home town of Del Rio, Texas. Opening a Gilbert "Mysto Magic" set from his dad for Christmas, Kent went into his room, closed the door, opened the box of miracles and said to himself, "I'm going to be a magician!"
His interest in magic led to an interest in other performing arts, especially puppetry and juggling. He even played in a rock and roll band (back when fifties music was still top 40)! Entertainment gave Kent a wholesome hobby as well as a source of income, and it helped pay his way through college at Louisiana State University. Even while still...

I love card tricks. These look pretty good. Even though they might be difficult and complicated, the teacher goes through very slowly and demonstrates really well. With some practice, I think this is going to be really fun!

Kent's enthusiasm for magic comes through in his lesson. He pulls back the curtain on a few classics. Worth a watch if you'd like to add a few good tricks to your arsenal for your next get-together.
