Sewing: How to Make a Pillowcase Dress

Great Lesson and easy to follow. Would like one on how to make a pillow case dress using fabric.

I watched this with my 13 year old daughter and we loved it. This was a great lesson, very detailed and concise!
We are going to get started now! Thanks a bunch. We can't wait for the next lessons!!

I just watched the video and can't wait to get started. I have been quilting for several years and was intrigued by the simplicity of watching a video vs. trying to figure out how to read a pattern with real sewing terms or seamstress jargon. I was very impressed with how simple this dress looks to make! It was explained in such a way that anyone will be able to make this fun project and even share the experience with their little girl! The only improvement I might have suggested is a higher resolution in the camera filming process. Things look a slight bit grainy, but that is really not related to the content of material discussed. Anyway, I gotta go, I have some dresses to make!!

This was a wonderful video. Very easy to follow, and the dress turned out wonderful. The only problem I ran into was the instructions say use 3/4 inch elastic but I had to end up cutting it to make it fit into the casing. This wasn't a big problem by any means. Next time, I will just get thinner elastic. GREAT, GREAT, GREAT video. I don't sew much at all but I could follow this video. Will see if she has more instructional videos to purchase.

This was just what I was looking for. This is an excellent video. Probably best to download onto your computer rather than just viewing. In that way, you won't have the problem of jumpy viewing, or stopping 10 minutes in. I can't wait to make some of these for my granddaughters.

This was so disappointing because the entire video won't load. It stops at 10 minutes. Very disappointing!

Hy, i dont understand if the bias shows on the arm hole when the dress is finished or you have fold bias tape along stiching line so it is completely inside the armhole, none showing from the outside.

I have bought countless patterns for these dresses and still was never able to figure out what they were saying. Thank you so much for these as they are VERY beginner and advanced friendly. Not to mention, are not putting a severe dent in my bank account!! Your instructions are incredible!!

This lesson makes a very sweet little girl's dress. The instructions were very clear and easy to follow. I like that there were different sizes shown for making a dress. Nicely done.

Amazing lesson, one question though: the lesson mentions elastic and knit elastic, what is the knit elastic for? I watched the video over and over and couldn't find where it goes... Thx!!!

Thank you so much. I was dying to make a dress like this, and finally was able to do so. I had bought a sewing a machine but never used it until now. I never sewed anything in my life, and accomplished to make this in just under an hour. How exciting. My daughter, 23 months old, finally got to show off something mommy made. Thanks for the easy instructions!
