Learn some tips on how to beat (or reduce) a speeding ticket. There is no sure-fire way to beat your ticket, but many cases can at least be reduced to a lesser charge. This lesson is not on how to get out of a speeding ticket at the scene, but rather how to fight it in traffic court.
First, traffic laws vary all over the country, so understand the traffic laws in your area. Andrew explains that knowledge of the laws will help you to understand what arguments you may be able to present and what your rights are.
Second, always remember to be polite and cooperative, both when you get your speeding ticket and in traffic court. Your behavior can go a long way towards convincing a judge that you are an upstanding citizen.
Next, Andrew explains what arguments you might be able to make, and what information you should take with you to court. This information could include your driving record, the actual ticket, a speedometer calibration report, or evidence of your excuse.
Finally, Andrew explains the process of traffic court and what to expect. He gives you tips on what questions you might ask, evidence you could present, and ways to prove to the judge that you are typically a good citizen.

Obviously, the best way to keep from winding up in traffic court is to not get a ticket... But, these are some great tips! I hadn't even thought about several of these options. If I get pulled over, I am totally going to try this!
