In Part 2 of Cafe Coffee on the Cheap, Sterling demonstrates how to make the 5 drinks described in Part 1. Proportions, equipment, time and preparation are all covered. In less than 15 minutes, you'll be on your way to making your own Cappuccinos at home.

Don't worry about buying part 1 first, it is mostly background and I don't think you'll be lost if you start with this one. Sterling does a good job of demonstrating how to make espresso, capuccino, cafe au lait, cafe americano, basic coffee, a cafe latte, and discusses how to make thai coffee.
It is great to see things get put together in order, I already had some of this equipment, but didn't realize the range of things I could do with it to expand my range of tasty coffee at home. One important thing he doesn't mention is with a basic italian coffee maker (the Bialetti) make sure not to get coffee grounds on the threads as you load the machine. Taking the area where the espresso out to load it as he does is probably a good idea, I've had problems with not getting a good seal, and/or cross-threading mine in the past.

Yikes, no wonder Starbucks doesn't sell these things in their stores. It took me a few chances to find one but I finally did at Bed, Bath and Beyond. If Starbucks sold them they would be out of business. And if you like your coffee as much as I do then you'd be saving a lot of money! I'm buying my parents a Bialetti for Christmas and also a MindBites account so that they can see how their $300, counter top espresso machines are a waste of money and space versus the very sleek look of a $20 Italian Bialetti.
