Stair Stepper Maintenance

In this video instructional, Mark demonstrates how to clean and lubricate a 4000 PT Stair Master Stepper. Learn how to minimize sweat residue, dirt, and dust build up, allowing your stair stepper to last longer. Many of the same maintenance principles shown in this how to video apply to the 4400 PT model, as well as many other stair steppers, as long as there are chains on the machine.

Great! You have saved me much $$ Mark! I got the older 94 model of this stepper for a couple hundred and tonight I cleaned it up to your specs and it is now a happy addition to our home gym. It was actually pretty good inside. It works flawless, but after cleaning it up per your instructions, it is even better. From what I can tell, it had never had any maintenance and the console clocked only 126 hours in use (!) but 19917 hours on!!! Is this possible... anyhow, thanks!

MindBites like this really help the most. This is a job I’d never consider doing because it involves mechanics that I usually don’t understand. Well, that is until I viewed Mark break it down in bite-sized bits, making something I thought I couldn’t do turn into something that I did. Now I feel confident enough to DIY other project. After researching through a MindBite of course.
