Donating never made you look so good!

This lesson will teach you how to make three simple hair Updos, with proceeds going to Locks of Love- a non-profit organization that provides hair prosthetics for children who have developed long-term medical hair loss.

Julia, an Updo specialist at Austin’s prestigious Avant Salon, teaches the lesson. She offers instructions for three simple Updos: (1) a French twist, (2) a modern messy bun, and (3) a braided bun. You can learn these Updos and, with practice, create them on yourself and friends in minutes. These trendy Updos are perfect for a variety of occasions: prom, formal, wedding, or even a night downtown or typical day at work!

This MindBite is a convenient, cost-efficient, and charitable way to learn three simple ways to put up hair. Go on, purchase this video now and start learning!

The three updos this video teaches are simple, but pretty. I can't wait to try them out and I was glad that I got to watch her do it so that I will know what to do.

Very informative! Enjoyed it, I think once my hair grows out I'll have to try some of these, they seemed simple enough.

Great job! I definitely learned some new updos. I thought the audio was too quiet at times. I enjoyed the music in between hairstyles. Also, sometimes it was difficult to see what the stylist was doing because the shot was too wide. Multiple angles would have increased my ability to learn the procedures. It is awesome that you are donating to Locks of Love.

lessons had some good tips and suggestions like the bumpy side of a bobby pin.. as a side note, the volume was a little low and i don't think the music used fit.

Definitely enjoyed this lesson!! It helped that there was an actual hairstylist used, I think I could do some of these updos with a little practice, and save some money as well!

I really liked this video, it really broke down the steps to make 3 cool hairdos. I'm going to try and do them myself next time I want to go out!

Nopic_orng rated 5 out of 5 Not bad! Not bad at all! 12/04/2007 ~ Magdalena

I personally like the modern updos - I've always wanted learn how the celebrities pull those off. My favorite part of the video was the "texturizing" of the braids...nifty trick. Good job! And good charity!

Nopic_grn rated 5 out of 5 awesome! 11/29/2007 ~ starrybliss

This is a great idea, and definitely something people want to know where a video would be perfect for it. I hate reading magazine articles or books on how to do hair styles, but never really being able to see it done or envisioning it correctly. This was super.

Nopic_orng rated 5 out of 5 Good shots, good styles 11/19/2007 ~ HiThere

I've seen several other "How to do hairstyles" videos, and this video has great shots and angles in comparison. The camera zooms in at the right times so you can actually see what the hairstylist is doing. Julia works at a nice pace that is easy to follow, and the hairstyles are not too complicated. It will probably take some practice to get the updos to look as good as they do on the video, but it's definitely possible. I like it!
