Crystal shows how to do a basic men's haircut using clippers. For a men's cut, you will need clippers (with a 3 guard), scissors, thinners, a comb, and a trimmer. Crystal makes a recommendation on guards and demonstrates techniques to use when cutting the hair, guiding you using different bones/areas of the head. She even teaches how to blend the new cut with facial hair and sideburns and style it.

I find that this video was VERY easy to follow. Instructions were understandable to an "unprofessional" like me who just wants to cut my husband's hair with a basic clipper cut. I am 46, we've been married 27 years and I have NEVER cut his hair. This video made it possible and for the small $2 fee - it was worth it! I'm sure that with more practice and watching this video that I'll do even better each time! Thanks for the lesson!

Crystal's lesson really helped me learn how to cut my two teenage sons' hair. They were both pleased with the result. It will save me at least $300 a year, plus save the time and gas going to the salon takes.

This clipper cut video was the answer for me. I am a new cosmetologist and struggling with clipper cuts. THIS VIDEO IS PERFECT. A great visual. Connected the dots for me. I did a great clipper cut today. Thanks, a million.

I spent a lot of time on you tube and finally came across this video with easy steps and basic terms. I have three boys and my boyfriend so this should cut on our expenses at the salon. Thank you very much. God Bless.

This was great! I think Crystal was dressed very nicely, too. :) I've been looking everywhere for something that would really help me cut my hubby's hair at home, and this definitely will. So thanks, Crystal!

Update:
After actually using this video to cut my hubby's hair, I wanted to rewrite my review. Really good! In the past, I've always tried to cut his hair using only clippers, thinking scissors would be too hard. But when you know how to do it, they actually make it easier and give you more control. His hair looks GREAT! Thanks!

It was really helpful to watch her do the whole thing and she does a great job of explaining what she's doing.

I think I will try it. It would be nice in the future if Crystal could be a bit more modestly dressed. I found it somewhat distracting.

Crystal was very clear, very organized, and very articulate! This lesson gives me the confidence to take a clipper to my husband someday soon! (He HATES paying to get his hair cut!)

This is a great video on how to give real men's haircut, not some clipper all over or Flo-be (sp?) special! Crystal does a great job explaining what she's doing every step of the way, and not cutting any corners. Great, great, great lesson. Would be great to see Crystal show some other types of haircuts!

Room for Improvement - Overall the content and production worked really well. Only small thing I noticed was that the white balance would go dark every once in a while. I'm guessing the camera was using a single spot balance and everytime her arm crossed the center of the screen it would ratchet the balance down, and then back up again as she moved away. Is there a way to use matrix or multispot white balancing. I'm sure I'm getting all my terms wrong, so someone please correct me. Regardless that it a very minor nit. Overall, great video!!!
