This is the first time I tried using something like this, I thought it was great, and worth the 1.99, Its easier to retain information when someone is showing you, than reading it from a book.

This tutorial on Digital MultiMeters is actually really well done. David (the instructor) does a good job of keeping the info tight and to the point. The addition of title cards help tune the viewer in to what's going on and guides one through the lesson, pointing out the specifics which are being discussed.

It's definitely not a lesson for the lay-person, you have to know a bit about electrical wiring and Ohm's law to really grasp the material (though I don't know why a lay-person would want to know how to use a mulitmeter anyway!). Still, David gives a great overview of the tool and informs the viewer on differing functions between several makes and models and discusses what one should look for before buying a multi-meter.

Hi,

Interesting tutorial, perhaps another tutorial in order as well 'introduction to electronic circuits' describing firstly the terms used eg difference between hrtz, amp, watt and secondly purpose/basic use of circuits, common applications. For newbies like me:)

thanks

Colm
