Ray Helm knows his guns, and rightfully so, as he's been a Texas Peace officer for some time now. And with Texas being the gun toting capital of the western world, he's at the top of the list of experienced handlers. In this lesson, he takes you through a cursory explanation into rifle cleaning and maintenance.

- cleaning a lever action

The first thing I noticed is that he cleaned the gun from the muzzle. Practically everyone recommends cleaning from the breach, not the muzzle, to prevent 'gunk' from going into the receiver.
I expected to see the removal of the action for a more thorough cleaning, but did not. Overall, I found the video lacking. -
- Great video! Very straightforward explanation ...

Ray does a great job in this lesson of walking you very simply and methodically through the process of cleaning a lever-action rifle with a basic cleaning kit. This would be the perfect companion for someone who is setting out to clean their rifle themselves for the first time. The video is also very clear, the sound is good and the shots and closeups really facilitate the learning.
I only have two suggestions for improvements. 1. As many will notice, we've got the wrong title page in there, and 2. I'd like to see Ray include a short safety blurb at the beginning stating that this is not a safety course and that you should always make sure its unloaded, etc. Other than those suggestions, I think this is great!
