rated 2 out of 5 Not the technique for children under 4, and doesn't yield the cleanest haircut.

First of all, I want to start by saying that I was looking for a lesson on how to cut my 2 year old's hair. This is not the technique to use for that. There is a lot of cutting at angles that puts the scissor tips near the child's eyes. This just won't work (isn't safe) unless the child understands that they must stay still. My 2 year old doesn't understand that yet and is all over the place when I'm trying to cut his hair.

Secondly, in my opinion this technique does not result in a tidy haircut. The video author's son started with messy looking hair, and finishes with rather messy looking hair... slightly shorter, yes, but still messy looking. This may be useful for a child approaching his teens, and who wants to have that look, but this isn't what I wanted for my 2-year old.

I knew within the first minute of this 8 minute video that it wasn't what I was looking for, but it was only $2 so there wasn't too much capital investment involved. This may be the video for you, but it wasn't for me.

In the past, I have trimmed my child's hair just like Heather says not to do it. I am happy to know that there is an easy way to trim the front and back and make it look great! Thanks Heather!
