An interview with myself:

1. What do you do (when you're not filming MB videos)?

I am training for my first Ironman 70.3 triathlon in about 6 weeks. I give swim lessons 1-on-1 to triathletes, primarily excellent runner/cyclists struggling with the swim or trying to improve their time on it.

I've been free diving lately too, to relax and because there are lots of fish in the lake I swim in that hang out near a submerged car about 30-50 feet underwater.

This video has a lot of useful info in only 9 minutes. I especially liked the tips on floating, and using an alternating breathing pattern. Great instruction, in an easy to follow format.

I was thinking of taking a one on one lesson, and now that I've seen this video I will definitely be doing so!

This was a great 9 minute intro to basic swimming techniques. If you're just starting to swim or swim already and have never had a lesson, you will find this helpful. The instructor is clear, has good form, gives good advice, and is succint. The part on breathing and floating was something I've never encountered before and I'm looking forward to trying it out in the pool.

Definitely recommended.
