So you'd like to learn French online? In this introductory video, I share my thoughts on learning a language online and the benefits of oral practice, based on my experience as a French and English teacher. After many years of teaching in person, this is my first foray into teaching online. So I welcome your comments and suggestions below. Bonne chance!

I am a professional language teacher, both teaching French as a foreign language (post A level) and English. I believe that everyone can learn a second language with patience, practice, and a good attitude. With my online lessons, I hope to start your journey learning French, but these lessons are only a first step, and you must practice, practice, practice. Have fun!

It is probably a good idea to combine this lesson with your Essential French lesson since this one is only 46 seconds long. You can see the entire lesson in the preview.

Yes, I think a language must be heard first.
When you learn as an adult, you must repeat before you read.
But of course, you need to understand what you are saying, that's why I join a script.
Pronunciation is a key element to be understood.
With the internet, it's so easy to learn a language.

Thanks for the video! Question for you. 08/13/2008

Hi Flora, thanks for the video. I've always wanted to be able to speak a little French but I've always had problems with the pronunciation. Just to clarify what you were saying in your video though. Are you saying that you can learn online, but you just need to get face to face practice as well? Or were you suggesting that face to face instruction is always better if you can get it. Thanks and I look forward to seeing more of your lessons.
