Meet Lou. He is, by his own admission, a love activist. In addition, he's also a guitar player, and a pretty good one at that, having studied the craft for over 15 years now. In this lesson he provides a framework for the average guitarist to utilize in order to build one's ability at improvisational techniques. He takes you through the simple understanding that makes up the cornerstone of single line soloing. In addition, he instructs on chordal soloing, providing traditional ideas and adding a twist to achieve not so traditional results.
Lou calls what is about to follow, be-form improvisation. Combining what is classically known as "free form guitar playing" with the ideology of immediate existence, or living in the now, he approaches the idea of music making in totally new way, that it may aid in one's own transcendence from the shackles of conformity and repetition.

- Great Lesson Showing Some Easy Beginner ways to...

In this video, Lou shows you some easy techniques you can learn to play and improvise on the guitar. Basically showing you three different techniques involving moving a fixed pattern or fingering around the fretboard and using an associated picking technique, he gives even beginning guitar players a way to let themselves go and just jam on their guitars. Great lesson!
Room for improvement - Overall, very nice lesson. Great content, Lou makes a good teacher, and the production quality is pretty good. The only thing that might be nice is if it had some sub-titles around each of the techniques and some further explanations and/or graphics, e.g. showing you which fingers were being used in the picking techniques, would have been helpful. Minor feedback though. Great video Lou!
