Traveling to France is one of the best ways to both enjoy the country, and to practice your French. But if you don't speak French, your arrival can be a little intimidating. It doesn't need to be. In this lesson, I go through a handful of phrases that will be useful for when you first arrive in Paris, from requesting a taxi, to getting to your hotel and helping you get the necessities of an internet connection, money and minutes for your mobile phone.

My method for teaching you is to simply repeat the phrases slowly and several times in French. You may not get every word just right, but, with practice, you'll be able to get your point across. I prefer this method for learning since this helps prepare you for picking up additional phrases during your trip -- by listening, repeating, and using it yourself.

To help you follow along, I cover 5 French phrases on the following topics:
Requesting a taxi
How to ask for a taxi in French
Instructing a french taxi driver to your hotel.
Requesting a French SIM card
Requesting a broadband internet connection
How to withdraw money.

This lesson is predominantly in French, which makes is difficult for a beginner to learn (though, what you would most certainly encounter in France!). It is a good refresher for someone who has a little French under their belt.
