Shawn is an NASM certified fitness specialist, which basically means he knows what he's doing. So, thankfully for us, he has designed a wonderful beginner's workout series. This series is designed for anyone who has access to a basic gym or exercise setup, and wishes to embark on a good, well-rounded exercise program.

In this beginners lesson, with the help of his lovely assistant Jesse, Shawn takes us through a multi-exercise gym cardio routine. You will never again settle for mindlessly jogging on a treadmill as Shawn takes you through an invigorating variable cardio workout across several machines, including an elliptical machine, treadmill, rower, and stairmaster.

As with any new major physical activity, please consult your doctor before beginning this exercise program.

So drop that Big Mac, turn off CSI, close that laptop (well, not yet), and get ready to sweat!

Nice to hear about some of the different work-outs available and the benefits/drawbacks of each. Just about anybody can find something useful in this lesson. Although it was a wee bit long, it still gave me some ideas on how to mix up my routine. Thanks!
