AP Physics Homework Examples – Full Course (50 lessons, $29.70)
Mechanics - AP Physics Homework Examples (16 lessons, $14.85)
Advanced Placement (AP) Physics teachers explain how to complete homework problems in "Two-Dimensional Motion and Projectiles." Each of the 3 tutorials explains a different problem or problems in detail, complete with equations, diagrams, and hints for successful Physics problem solving. Specific topics included in this lesson are: projectiles with initial horizontal velocity, final velocity of a projectile, and distance traveled by a projectile. PDF files of the problems and solutions for the tutorials in this lesson are also included.
Applicable to AP Physics or Non-Calculus College Physics (and some lower level physics.)
Tutorials included in this lesson:
3-5: Velocity & Position of a Horizontal Projectile
3-6: Final Velocity of a Horizontal Projectile
3-7: Initial Velocity of a Horizontal Projectiles
The tutorials in this lesson are also part of the following series:
- "AP Physics Mechanics Homework Examples" which includes 16 lessons (85+ tutorials) in the basics of Physics, kinematics, projectiles, vectors, forces and Newton's Laws, work and energy, momentum, uniform circular motion, gravity, and torque and static equilibrium.
- "AP Physics Homework Examples – Full Course" which includes 50 lessons (230 tutorials) in all topics of Physics: Mechanics, Fluids, and Thermal Physics, Electricity and Magnetism, Waves and Optics, and Modern Physics.

Two-Dimensional Motion
(Part B):
3-5: Velocity & Position of a Horizontal Projectile (at 0:10)
A projectile is launched horizontally with a velocity of 6.0 m/s.
- Determine the horizontal and vertical
velocities after 2.0 seconds.
- Determine the horizontal and vertical
displacements after 2.0 seconds.
3-6: Final Velocity of a Horizontal Projectile (at 4:58)
A baseball is thrown with a horizontal velocity of 8.0 m/s from a height of 1.5 m. Determine the final velocity of the ball.
3-7: Initial Velocity of a Horizontal Projectiles (at 12:14)
A dart is launched horizontally from a surface that is 1.5 m high. It lands on the floor, 4.0 m away. Calculate the initial velocity of the dart.
