Good Vidio for what is demonstrated. However, new stripers are looking for training within these videos just like your book which I highly recommend. What Size Spray Tip? What Pressure Are You Running AT? How TO Adjust Flow Of Paint? The Higher You Set Your Gun The Wider or Nerrower Your Stripe Gets? How Do You Keep A Straight Line At A Fast Pace? I know I could always email you and get the answers but it would make great content for a pay video. But again good video!

Love your videos and think you did a fantastic job. Would like to see you add content covering the maintenance of pump packings, how to rebuild paint guns, how to troubleshoot surging lines and over spray, and hazards of working with high pressure, generation of static electricity and skin injection.
Your videos are a great source of training for our crews.

  In this video = The Verbal Video...!...I explain how each Airless Machine works. ( They're so similar. )

• How I Stripe: Outdoor Striping Paint; Part (2)

  This is Part (2) of my Outdoor Striping Paint Video. I mention Acetone Based Paint. I tell you a few "Ups and Downs" that are associated with using it. I try not to use it. But...again...it has "Ups"...so...?...don't be afraid...and it also has "Downs"...so...?...I want you to be prepared...it's not bad...it's not hard either. But...I'm in Service...not Sales. I wanna help...you.
  Next...I do mention the "Big Three" Paint MFG's...here. I show you an example of each of their products...( I think you can see them in the background. ) ( I do actually move aside though...and tell you more about each... )
  Last...I'll give you the names of smaller, regional Paint Store Chains...including Canada's larger Chain.

• How I Stripe: Indoor, Warehouse, Floor Paints

  One day...you're going to get a phone call to stripe a warehouse floor. I want you to, at least, go look at it. Don't blow smoke at the customer. If it's your first...and it's not too big...and you can manage the time requirements...try it. But...you decide.
  That said...here are the paints I've used. They're different than Outdoor Striping Paints. But...remember...they're just paints. Everything else is the same = Layout...Stripe...and go home.
  AND...I've used only a few different paints...for the few different applications. ( That's good news = there aren't that many different applications...! )
  Watch the video...there are One Part Paints...Two Part Paints...( Know the "Pot Life"! )...and Sealers...which look like paint! It's not hard. It's just a little different. ( And consider painting the entire floor. ) ( That's a good job too. After all..you're a Painter. )

• How I Stripe: How I make a "Blue Block" H/C.

  There are several parts to making a nice stencil.
  I'll show you them here:
  1) How to assure that they're "Lined Up"...with each other.
  2) How to assure they're "Pretty"...without "Double Vision".
  3) How to be quick...well...as quick as you can be.
  Anyhow...the Blue Block Style, H/C Stencil, is on almost every parking lot. Do a nice job.

• How I Stripe: How I spray Curb with (1) gun.

  NO...you do not need to buy a (2) gun Line Striping Machine to spray curb.
  I have (3) "Walk Behind" striping machines. Two have a (2) gun "set up".
  Still...I never use it...not on a Double Yellow Line...or...on Curb.
  YES...I've seen the Videos on using (2) guns to spray a curb. Politely, I say...that curb doesn't exist.
  I'll show you how to spray curb...with (1) gun...in this Video.
  You can do this.

• How I Stripe: My "Conventional" Striper; Part (1).

  This is Part (1) of a (3) Part Video Series.
  This Machine is a "work horse". But...it's not for everyone. And...I've said before...I recommend an Airless to start...especially if you're in a warm climate = The South...The West...etc.
  That said...THIS Machine uses very little product to clean and has NO waste. It's PERFECT if you're forced to use Paints that need more than just water to clean.
  I'll teach you this "Conventional Striping Machine".
  Part (1) includes...The Big Parts...and how they work.
  It is a simple machine. It is called a Conventional because "Conventional" thinking has AIR going into the Paint...making it a "Spray". ( Unlike the "Airless" Machines...which do not use Air = "Airless". They "Squish" the Paint. ) SO...?...I'll teach you how the Air flows through the Machine...to (4) different places.
  I'll teach you how to put Paint into the Machine..."How To"...Prime The Lower System...and The Rear System.
  I like (2) things here...on the Conventional...
  (1) There's never any waste. I clean it...and for 17 years...it uses very little product to clean...that's a great thing when the Cleaning Agent costs MORE than the Paint...! ...and there's NEVER any waste or disposal issues. It's a great machine for paints that demand expensive Cleaning Agents like...Toluene, MEK, Mineral Spirits...etc. So...if you need to use these paints because of weather = chilly, outdoor striping...this is a great machine. Mine is (17) years old.
  2) I like the Stencil Gun...out the back. You can spray delicate places...like hand spraying a tight turning curb...or "Wheel Stops". You can finesse this gun. With my "Airless"..the gun is either ALL ON...or ALL OFF. Pull the trigger and POW...!...2200 PSI. Don't get me wrong...I also have (2) Airless Machines. I like them. I use them. BUT...I like the Conventional's stenciling gun.
  Anyhow...you decide. Take a look at this Video...and let me know if I can help...any further.

• How I Stripe: A Conventional Striper; Part (2).

  In this Video...I teach how to clean it all...= the Tank...and the Lower System = The Striping Gun...and The Rear System = The Stenciling Gun.
  I also teach you how to take the Lid off.
  ( Taking the Lid off can be dangerous. Do it like I say. Don't play games here. I mean it. Got it...? Good. )
  I am sorry about the Wind Noise. I'm just not a Videographer. I'm a Striper. Call me if you need any clarification. Again...this machine isn't for everyone. AND...another type may be best for your particular use and climate. I'll help you.

• How I Stripe: My "Conventional" Striper; Part (3).

  Here's where I fire it up.
  You'll hear it run. You'll hear the "Pop Off" valve. You'll hear the Air "Bleeding" through...etc.
  And...I'll take the Lid off. AGAIN...take the Lid off like I say or you'll get hurt...or worse.
  It's a great machine...again...especially if you use Paint that takes more than Water to clean.

  This is what I know. This Video is about Business Insurance and it's different aspects.
  It's about sending a client a W-9 form...and why...and when.
  It's about filing for your Trade Name Registration...and what that protects.
  It's simple stuff. AND...once it's dealt with...which doesn't take long...it's virtually over. Look into these things...again..they're not hard.

  As a Business Owner...you'll need to know this.

  If I make it easy to understand...you won't be as intimidated. They aren't hard. If I can understand it...you can understand it. And...it's not costly.

  I hope this makes it easier. I know I should've stopped walking more often. It would've made the Video less shaky. I apologize. That said...I didn't want to throw the baby out with the bath water...so...I published it. I do think there are very good teaching parts to this video. I hope it helps.

• How I Stripe; Temporary Lanes, Over Stone.

  This procedure isn't common...well..not as common.
  Sometimes the Milling Crew will "Mill" = "Grind" off 2" of old and broken = "failed" asphalt.
  Then the Paving Crew will Re-Pave that area...and...like I said...I'll stripe it...in between those operations.
  OR...the Milling Crew will mill off the road...then I'll stripe THAT. Then...the Stone Crew will apply tar to the road...then apply little stones...sometimes caled "chips". Then...I'll stripe THAT. Then...the Paving crew will follow THAT crew = the Stone Crew...and Re-Pave the road. Then I'll stripe it again.
  I believe the City Street Department wanted an experiment. They're trying to see if this "Intermediate Stone Application" will increase the life of the new asphalt. No biggee...and not really your concern. YOUR concern is to stripe it...even if the striping will only be there until the next day...or even the next morning.
  Temporary Striping.

• How I Stripe; How to Layout Temp. "Decel" Lanes.

  This is a very simple Video. It may not have a real purpose. I hope though, you can see a little more of the operation. That's it.

• How I Stripe; How I Ride and Stripe a "Decel".

  This is another simple Video on extending a portion of the Deceleration Lane.
  I hope I'm showing two things...
  1) Little bits and pieces of how the job is accomplished.
  2) How you can do it also. I want it to be less intimidation...for you.
  It was hard for me..the first time.
  ( My first Temporary Striping job was 2 Miles, 5 Lanes. )
  If I can do it...you can do it better.

  This is a view from the "overpass". It shows the Milling process. Like I say on the video...I'll follow the Paving Crew and apply Temporary Striping...when they're finished re-installing asphalt into the "cut out" area.

• How I Stripe: Lined Up and Pretty...and Fast.

  This is a Video I made on New Year's Day, 2009.
  It shows a parking lot that I striped 14 years, prior to that. I want you to see two things...
  1) These lines are straight...
  2) They are also "Lined Up".
  I also want you to know (2) additional things...
  1) It is not bad when you can stripe quickly. It isn't.
  It is...if it's ugly work or cheating the customer. In other words...don't run when when you're striping.
  2) Being efficient happens to provide beautiful work.
  That said...I believe my ways are not only efficient fo me...yes me...and now you...but...doing the work like I teach...will also get the customer smiling.
  Bottom line...stripe like I do...it's fast for you...and beautiful...( and long lasting )...for the customer. It's all in my BOOK. It's all in these videos.
