In this two-lesson series, you'll learn how to find the derivative of inverse trig functions. To do so, you'll rewrite the expression in terms of standard trig functions, differentiate implicitly, and use the Pythagorean theorem.
Differentiation techniques such as the chain rule and product rule can be applied to derivatives involving inverse trigonometric functions. Working backwards from the derivative formulas for inverse trig functions produces integration formulas.
