I would have liked to have seen the finished product.
Author discusses how to scrape and sharp an oboe reed. Several knives of different properties such as sharpness and weight are used, and the author lets you know why he uses each one. He also delves in to how to avoid cutting straight through the reed and also damage control for when there are small splints and/or unevenness in the cuts.
This is lesson is great because it is so hard to find any kind of instructional material on reed making. Very clear and informative.
Generally good to a non-player. Camera work and glare a problem. To be consistent with the other titles, it seems the 3 titles should be something like: Part 1 - Making a Reed Blank; Part 2 - Initial Reed Scraping; Part 3 - Almost-Final Reed Scraping
