Below are the descriptions for each of the lessons included in the series:
-
Flower painting 1 - Prim Roses
Here I demonstrate the traditional methods of delicate washes and glazing wet over dry with blending. Using wet in wet for the background.
-
Flower painting 1-Periwinkles
Delicate watercolour washes and blending, with the use of some wet in wet and graduated colour.
-
Flower painting 1- Loose Prim Roses
After painting the same composition more traditionally I then move into a looser style.
-
Flower painting 1-Daffodils
Another favourite spring flower of many? Easily over worked and made dull, here I show step by step traditional methods to delicately paint wet next to wet, wet into wet and glaze using luminous transparent watercolours freshly. Finishing with a loose dark against light background.
-
Flower painting 1-Snow Drops
The use of "masking fluid", wet in wet plus wet over dry methods in watercolour flower painting.
-
Flower painting 1-Peach Blossom
Enlarging the flowers and using, washes, glazes and blending in watercolour to paint these pretty pink blooms.
-
Flower painting 1 - Delphiniums
Flower painting 1 - Painting wondeful vibrant blue Delphiniums in pastel over acrylic inks.
-
Flower painting 1-Dandelions and Dasies
My fiancees favourite of the series! Aerial and linear perspective, a broad field full of bright dandelions and daisies, use of masking fluid and brush texture.
-
Flower painting 1-Field of Flowers
With the use of masking fluid and brushwork, making a complicated and detailed painting of a meadow full of flowers is possible and simple! Daisies, blue cornfowers with pink clover etc.
-
Flower painting 1-Water Color Pencils
The delicate use of watercolour pencils, drawing with them and use of water with and over them to blend and paint. Bluebells.
-
Flower Painting 1 - Rose pt. 1 of 3
Flower painting 1 - Part 1 of 3 painting a rose in watercolour.
-
Flower Painting 1 - Prt. 2 of 3 - Rose
Flower painting 1 - Part 2 of 3 - How to paint a Rose in watercolour.
-
Flower Painting 1 - Prt. 3 of 3 - Rose
Flower painting 1 - Part 3 of 3 - A rose in watercolour
-
Flower painting 1 - Poppies
A favourite subject of many? Here I paint some poppies in France with traditional wet in wet, wet next to dry methods using only fresh transparent methods.
-
Flower painting 1 - Sunflowers
Painting bright cheerful sunflowers using watercolour.

Artists hands in the way and covered up all of the painting. I wish I had not bought it. Useless
I was hoping to get a lot more out of this video than I did. The video camera was obviously put on a tri-pod behind the artist and all you could view throughout the entire video is the back of his hand. I wanted to see brush to paper to see his technique but sadly, did not. There were no close-ups or zoom ins, just a still camera.
The artist was fairly quiet throughout the video and when he did explain what he was doing I couldn't see it because his hand was in the way. I cannot recommend you spend your money on this video. You would do just as well to look at a picture and try to figure it out on your own. The audio was mediocre, but I had a bit of trouble understanding his words but that must be our language differences.
Judging from the few videos I've viewed on Mindbites so far, I feel this video should be re-done by a more professional cameraman.
Excellent, easy to follow instruction.
