The first and most important step is to target your audience. A beginner video will have a much different flow than an expert video. Next reset the applications that you plan to use to their default settings. To save time, you can include presets in your video description. When you go through your tutorial, make sure you use specificity that is appropriate for your audience. Thw moe complex a task, the more simple and straight forward the language you should use. Using jargon can quickly cause your viewer to lose you. In my experience, it is best to talk your viewer through a process in the most straight forward manner possible. After you have gone from A to Z, you can add short-cuts, etc. as bonus material. Mentioning these in-line is often confusing and can cause repetition of the same step, a very confusing twist in learning a program. As you move throughout your presentation, have all of the supporting content clearly organized; nothing is worth than seeing a video author search for content in the middle of a lesson. If you're giving away the material, going through it once is probably okay. If you expect to sale it, you should probably do a few practice runs to see what works and what doesn't. In the end, you should present your customer with a clean, straight forward process for accomplishing what you're selling.

I hope this helps get you thinking.

Good Luck!
